Working closely with experienced reserving actuaries, you'll play a key role in delivering quarterly reserving exercises, analysing claims trends and supporting business-critical decision-making. Support the delivery of quarterly reserve reviews across multiple classes of business. Assist in the calculation, analysis and monitoring of reserves using a range of actuarial techniques. Analyse claims development, underwriting performance and emerging experience. Produce reserving reports and management information for internal stakeholders. Support the preparation of regulatory, Lloyd's and financial reporting requirements. Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Risk teams to provide actuarial insight. Assist with reserve risk parameterisation and capital modelling inputs. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the development of reserving tools and methodologies. Support ad-hoc projects across the wider actuarial team.
About You
Making strong progress through the actuarial exams. Reserving experience gained within a Lloyd's syndicate, London Market insurer or wider general insurance business. Understanding of core non-life reserving techniques and principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Proficiency in Excel, with experience using actuarial or analytical tools such as ResQ, SQL, Python or R considered advantageous. Motivated to continue developing both technically and professionally.
