KCR Solutions are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne, seeking an experienced and qualified Finance Manager to join their finance team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a key position within the business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the management accounting function, support strategic decision-making and lead a small finance team.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, a proactive approach and the ability to deliver accurate and insightful financial information to support business performance.
The Role
Production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts. Preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial modelling to support business planning. Ownership and management of cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls. Financial analysis and provision of meaningful KPI reporting to senior management. Supporting the Finance Director with year-end accounts, audit and statutory reporting requirements. Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies. Managing and developing a small finance team of two. Supporting wider business initiatives through commercial and operational finance insight. Assisting with business planning and strategic projects as required.
Essential:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Previous experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant position. Strong management accounts production experience. Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts. Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Proven experience managing or mentoring finance staff.
