Reed Further Education are seeking an experienced Lecturer in Travel & Tourism to join a successful Further Education provider on a temporary basis from the start of the new term. There may also be an opportunity to start a few days earlier to assist with course preparation and planning.
This is an excellent opportunity for an industry-experienced professional with a passion for teaching and developing learners studying Travel & Tourism qualifications.
Job Details
Role: Lecturer in Travel & Tourism Location : Melton Mowbray Contract: Temporary Start Date: Beginning of the new term (potentially earlier for preparation) End Date: October Half Term Hours: 15-20 hours per week Working Pattern: Tuesday to Friday Rate: £25-£28 per hour
The Role
You will be delivering Travel & Tourism programmes across Levels 2 and 3, supporting learners through engaging lessons and helping them achieve their qualifications.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering high-quality Travel & Tourism lessons. Teaching NCFE Travel & Tourism units at Levels 2 and 3. Planning lessons and preparing learning materials. Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback. Monitoring learner progress and supporting achievement. Maintaining accurate records in line with awarding body requirements.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
Level 3 qualification in Travel & Tourism. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent teaching qualification.
Essential Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience within the Travel & Tourism industry. Experience teaching Travel & Tourism qualifications. Experience delivering Level 2 and/or Level 3 Travel & Tourism programmes. Enhance DBS on the update service
Essential Knowledge & Skills
In-depth knowledge of City & Guilds and NCFE Travel & Tourism qualifications. Ability to teach across a range of NCFE Travel & Tourism units. Strong industry knowledge and the ability to bring real-world experience into the classroom. Excellent communication and learner engagement skills.
