Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Packaging manufacturer in their search for a Quality & Technical Technician to work in their leading facility in Telford.
For the successful Quality & Technical Technician our client is offering;
Permanent position Starting salary is between £33,000 - £40,000 depending on experience Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week, core hours are 9:30am-4pm, flexi time hours Free parking Training and development opportunities 28 days holiday Company pension plan Healthcare plan - After 6 months Monthly bonus available - Based on employees who demonstrate enthusiasm, willingness, commitment
The Role of the Quality & Technical Technician will include:
Leading the Technical & QA activities for packaging materials & production processes Varied role that will encompass Lab Testing, R&D, Regulatory Compliance, Supplier Management and providing customer support ensuring products meet required requirements Conduct routine & investigative laboratory analysis to support quality investigations, trials/sample orders Design & conduct R&D trials to discover new packaging materials, coatings & structures for technical/production performance Propose material & process improvements Maintaining test records, interpret the date and prepare suitable reports on the findings Lab analysis & testing Investigating any customer complaints ensuring quick investigations/corrective actions Analysing quality data Ensure products & processes are in line with regulatory standards Conducting COSHH/risk assessments You will act as the primary Technical contact for suppliers, performing assessments & monitoring performance Working closely with internal stakeholders Inventory/Stock control Irregular travel to customers if there is a trial/potential issue with supply
What our client is looking for in a Quality & Technical Technician:
A Degree or HND in Chemistry, Materials/Polymer Science, or related subject Demonstrate Lab/Analytical skills Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance within Packaging Experience of root cause analysis, investigating complaints and implementing corrective actions Experience managing supplier quality Strong written / verbal skills Full UK Driving Licence
