As a Manufacturing Engineer in Deeside, you'll focus on improving manufacturing processes to help the business run efficiently. You'll work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure quality, productivity and cost-effectiveness across operations.

Description
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be tasked with the following -
Analyse, develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes across CNC Machining, Welding, Electropolishing, and Inspection operations.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, quality, efficiency, throughput, and operational performance.
Standardise manufacturing methods, best practices, process flow maps, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Support the introduction of new products, processes, equipment, technologies, automation, and manufacturing investment projects.
Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing principles and support improvement initiatives across all production areas.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions for operational issues, customer complaints, non-conformances, weld defects, rework, and recurring quality concerns.
Work with Production Managers, Team Leaders, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Welding, Machine Shop, Electropolishing, and Inspection teams to improve process performance and consistency.
Optimise CNC machining processes, including machine utilisation, efficiency, cycle times, downtime, tooling, capability studies, process validation, throughput, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Support welding process improvements, including welding productivity, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), defect reduction, quality performance, and rework reduction.
Develop and improve electropolishing procedures, process controls, bath performance, cycle times, production flow, throughput, records, and quality outcomes.

HNC/HND or Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar discipline. Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement qualification (desirable). IOSH Managing Safely (desirable). Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable).
Job Offer
Salary range: £45,000 to £55,000, dependent on the level of experience. 26 days of holiday leave. 5% pension contribution. Bonus scheme. Monday to Thursday: 08:00-16:30, Friday: 08:00-15:30.
