Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join the team at Lambeth Hospital , part of South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in mental health settings, medicines management, and hospital pharmacy environments. This role is essential in supporting high‑quality patient care, ensuring safe and effective medication processes across the service.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out comprehensive medicines reconciliation for new admissions.
Support ward‑based clinical pharmacy services as part of the MMT (Medicines Management Technician) team.
Work closely with pharmacists, nursing staff, and wider MDT to ensure safe medication practices.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medication records.
Provide patient counselling and support on medicines where required.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and supply processes across the hospital.
Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the pharmacy service.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC .
Med Rec (medicines reconciliation) experience is essential.
Proven experience as an MMT or within ward‑based pharmacy services.
Previous work in mental health settings is highly desirable.
Hospital pharmacy experience required.
