Automation Test Engineer 9-month FTC Salary negotiable DoE Remote Your new role As an Automation Test Engineer, you’ll take ownership of automated testing across our SaaS platform, working closely with developers, product owners and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases. You’ll develop and maintain Playwright automation frameworks and test suites using TypeScript/JavaScript, covering front-end UI and API testing. You’ll also integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, support regression and cross-browser testing, investigate defects, analyse test results and champion quality throughout the development lifecycle. Ensuring your success To succeed in this role, you’ll have at least 3 years’ experience in front-end web automation using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript, ideally within a SaaS environment. You’ll have strong experience across UI, regression, cross-browser and API testing, including REST/GraphQL, as well as experience with Page Object Models, reusable test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll be comfortable working in an Agile environment alongside developers, Product Owners and Business Analysts. An ISTQB/ISEB qualification or relevant degree would be advantageous, as would experience with tools such as Quality Center or Zephyr. In return You’ll join a fast-paced, growing SaaS business where quality is central to how we develop and deliver our products. You’ll have the opportunity to take real ownership of automation, influence testing practices across the wider business and work closely with experienced technical and product teams. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will have a genuine impact on product quality, development processes and customer outcomes.
