The opportunity
You'll be joining a growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK. Working within an expanding Rail team, you'll play a key role in delivering technically challenging schemes while collaborating with specialists across maritime, asset management and wider infrastructure disciplines.
You'll enjoy genuine responsibility from day one, with the opportunity to lead projects, build client relationships and support the development of junior engineers, all while progressing your own career.
Projects include:
Station developments
Bridge design and renewal schemes
Access for All (AfA) projects
Rail infrastructure upgrades
Civil and structural engineering schemes across the rail network
Multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
What you'll be doing
You'll combine strong technical capability with project leadership, helping to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of rail projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the delivery of rail infrastructure projects from design through to completion
Managing project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables
Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers
Acting as a line manager and providing technical guidance
Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and reports
Carrying out inspections, site visits and technical assessments
Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
Preparing fee proposals and supporting tender submissions
Meeting with clients and developing long-term working relationships
Supporting project management and contract administration activities
Ensuring projects comply with Network Rail standards, industry regulations and engineering best practice
