Assistant Accountant
Location -Central London| Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home) Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE Permanent, Full-Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing organisation based in Central London. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll support month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while working closely with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments. Produce Opex and Capex reporting, variance analysis, and management commentary. Support budgeting, forecasting, and management accounts preparation. Partner with budget holders to review costs and improve financial performance. Monitor purchase orders, GR/IR balances, and expense coding. Produce financial reports and business analysis. Support audits and finance system improvements. Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function.
About You
Experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role. Experience in an infrastructure environment preferable. Strong understanding of month-end processes, accruals, and prepayments. Experience with reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Strong Excel and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience.
