As Senior Carer, you will be a critical part of makingthat happen. You are not just a shift leader you are a standard-setter, a culture carrier, and one of the first people our residents and families turn to. Job Opportunity KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading and supervising the care team during your shift, acting as first point of contact and escalating
concerns to the Nurse in Charge.
- Setting the tone for the shift - modelling the energy, warmth, and professionalism you expect from the team
around you.
- Delivering and overseeing high-quality personal care: washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
- Administering and recording medications in accordance with company policy and CQC standards (where
competency-assessed).
- Completing, reviewing, and updating care plans and risk assessments using our PCS care system, ensuring
accuracy and clinical relevance.
- Spot-checking your team's documentation and coaching improvement - not just completing your own
records.
- Supporting residents with nutrition and mealtimes - ensuring these are social, dignified occasions, not
rushed routines.
- Mentoring junior care staff: conducting supervisions, supporting inductions, and identifying development
needs.
- Building positive professional relationships with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Championing person-centred care - knowing your residents as individuals, not as tasks on a rota.
- Supporting residents receiving end-of-life care with clinical competence and deep human compassion.
- Contributing to audits, quality improvement, and CQC compliance activities.
