Band 6 Acute Medicine Physiotherapist
Location: Birmingham Start Date: ASAP Contract: Ongoing Pay Rate: Competitive Rates Available
We are recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Acute Medicine Physiotherapist for an exciting opportunity in Birmingham. This is an exclusive vacancy available only through our agency , offering competitive rates and an immediate start for the successful candidate.
The Role
You will work within a busy acute medicine service, assessing and treating patients with a wide range of complex medical conditions. You will play a key role in facilitating recovery, promoting safe discharge planning, and supporting patients to regain mobility and independence during their hospital stay.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for acute medical patients.
Develop and deliver individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Manage a varied caseload within acute medical wards.
Support early mobilisation, respiratory care, and functional rehabilitation.
Contribute to discharge planning and patient flow initiatives.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Requirements
HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
Previous NHS experience at Band 6 level.
Acute Medicine or Acute Inpatient Physiotherapy experience is essential.
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage a busy caseload.
