The Management Accountant will report to the MD, supported by an Assistant Accountant, and take ownership of the day to day finance function and financial reporting for an established manufacturing business. This is a broad role covering accurate management reporting, process improvement and close collaboration with Sales, Production and Purchasing to provide meaningful financial information and support business decisions. What You'll Be Doing
Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports. Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage weekly supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations. Oversee weekly payroll checks and monthly payroll reconciliations. Prepare VAT returns and ensure HMRC compliance. Monitor cashflow, budgets and forecasts. Calculate costs and support stock reporting. Analyse financial data and provide insight to management. Support year-end processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Solid experience in a Management Accountant or similar role AAT qualified, studying CIMA or ACCA, or qualified through experience Confidence producing management accounts Strong Excel and Sage (or similar) skills Payroll experience Sharp analytical and organisational skills Manufacturing sector experience is a bonus, not a must Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 IPS Finance has 45 years’ experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
