A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure project in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile scheme involving significant civil engineering works, large diameter pipe installation and complex reinforced concrete structures.Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of works while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
Managing engineering activities across allocated sections of the project Supporting delivery of large diameter pipeline installations Overseeing reinforced concrete structures and associated works Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design specifications Producing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and inspection test plans Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information Supporting quality assurance and quality control processes Working collaboratively with project teams to achieve programme milestones
Requirements
Previous experience as a Section Engineer or Senior Engineer on major infrastructure projects Strong background in water, utilities, heavy civil engineering or related sectors Experience with large diameter pipework installation Experience delivering reinforced concrete structures Proficient with setting out equipment and engineering software Good understanding of quality, health, safety and environmental requirements CSCS Card
Desirable
Experience working on water treatment or water infrastructure projects Knowledge of NEC contracts Temporary works awareness Experience managing engineering teams or site supervision responsibilities
