Art & Design Lecturer - SEND
Location: East London Contract: Part-time, Temporary Start: September 2026
Are you an experienced Art & Design Lecturer or Teacher with experience working with SEND learners?
We are recruiting for a part-time temporary Art & Design Lecturer to deliver Entry Level 3 Art & Design to learners with SEND.
The Role
Plan and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons . Adapt teaching to meet individual SEND needs. Develop learners' creative, practical and employability skills. Assess and monitor learner progress. Support EHCP outcomes and progression. Work closely with Learning Support Assistants and other professionals. Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and learner wellbeing.
About You
Essential: Full Level 5 teaching qualification - PGCE, Cert Ed or DET. Strong Art & Design subject knowledge . Experience teaching learners with SEND , including autism, learning difficulties and/or complex needs. Experience adapting teaching for Entry Level learners. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A creative, patient and inclusive approach.
