Key Responsibilities of the Senior Fire Safety Engineer:
Lead and support fire safety design and risk management for a wide range of building types Build strong relationships with new and existing clients Mentor and support junior engineers Conduct site surveys, inspections, and fire risk assessments Create clear, comprehensive reports, presentations, and fire strategy documentation Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and authorities to deliver effective solutions Contribute ideas and insight to help grow and develop the business
What You’ll Bring:
A degree or postgraduate qualification in Fire Engineering or a related field At least 5 years’ experience in fire safety engineering Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (IFE or IFSM member preferred) Proficiency in AutoCAD and fire engineering software (e.g. CFD modelling, thermal analysis) Strong working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and international codes Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical details for varied audiences A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and high standards A valid UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK Willingness to travel in the UK and abroad when required
Relevant Experience:
Ideal for those with experience in roles such as; Fire Safety Consultant, Senior Fire Protection Engineer, Fire Engineering Manager, Fire Risk Specialist, or similar.
