Heap & Co are recruiting for a highly visible Assistant Accountant role within a growing and progressive organisation. This position offers broad exposure to management accounts, financial reporting, business performance, systems improvement and commercial finance, making it an ideal next step for someone looking to move beyond a purely transactional role.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, you'll gain hands-on experience across all areas of the finance function and follow a structured development route towards a Finance Manager position within 2–3 years.
Responsibilities:
Management accounts preparation and month-end reporting Budgeting, forecasting and business planning support Financial analysis and management information Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls Cash flow reporting Finance systems enhancement and process improvement projects Collaboration with teams across the business
About You
Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or latter stages of AAT with plans to progress to ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Previous experience in a finance or accounting role Enjoys taking ownership and driving improvements Commercially minded and eager to broaden their finance expertise Has the ambition and potential to progress into finance leadership
