Senior Data Engineer (Fabric, SQL, Python) Hybrid (2 days in Office)
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000+ / 20% Bonus
Prize Placements are currently working alongside a global leader who are looking to recruit a Senior Data Engineer with expertise working with MS Fabric, SQL and Python. We are looking for an experienced engineer who can drive the automated data pipeline development process, starting from requirements gathering, data extraction & loading, through to data modelling, reporting, and ultimately supporting the business.
The key responsibilities include:
Work with the Engineering Operations team to understand and define their data pipeline requirements for their new data projects Collaborate with the wider Engineering teams to understand existing data ingestion and design suitable methods for extraction Design and implement the necessary data pipelines within a modern data stack; including the data extraction and load steps, data model, data warehouse, and analytics environments Solve new data related problems and drive improvements to ways of working within the Data Analytics team Deliver data reporting and visualisations to the business. Help and support the business using your products to continuously improve the teams' deliverables
The ideal candidate will have the following technical skills:
Proficiency in implementing data pipelines and data literacy: ingesting, processing, cleaning, transforming, and modelling data Proficiency in SQL and Python, along with MS Fabric A good understanding and experience of data visualisation through BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau Excellent communication skills
You might also have:
Familiarity with DevOps style data model development through packages such as DBT Familiarity with commonly used cloud based infrastructures such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure etc. A good understanding of version control systems such as Git or Perforce
