Lecturer – Carpentry

We are urgently seeking a temporary Lecturer in Carpentry to join our team at the South East London Campus. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality carpentry training to students.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in Carpentry to a diverse group of learners. Prepare lesson plans and materials, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements. Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their learning goals. Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the delivery of carpentry courses and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience and expertise in Carpentry. Qualified to teach at a further education level (e.g., PGCE, Certificate in Education, or equivalent). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners. Commitment to professional development and staying updated with industry standards and teaching methods. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
