Sopra Steria’s Aerospace, Defence and Security sector is looking for a Project Leader to support the delivery of infrastructure-focused projects for one of our key secure accounts.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a good grounding in project management who wants to build their experience, take ownership of smaller projects and work alongside experienced Project Managers across a varied portfolio.
The role will involve supporting the delivery of IT infrastructure, network, storage and security-related projects, helping to manage plans, costs, risks, stakeholders and project controls within a structured, Prince2-led environment.
This is a hybrid position. 2 days per week on site in Salisbury.
Eligible for SC and DV Clearance.
What you will be doing:
Support the delivery of multiple small projects or work packages, working closely with experienced Project Managers and wider delivery teams. Create and maintain detailed project plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, actions and progress against agreed timelines. Maintain project controls across time, cost, scope and quality, escalating issues or changes through the Project Manager when required. Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and suppliers, providing clear updates on project status and key developments. Support cost management, resource allocation and supplier performance reporting, ensuring project activity remains aligned to agreed requirements. Contribute to project reviews, audits, service acceptance activity and lessons learned, using insight to improve future delivery.
What you will bring:
A basic working knowledge of project management methods, tools and controls, with awareness of Prince2 or APM principles. Experience supporting or coordinating projects, work packages or structured delivery activity within a business or technical environment. An awareness of IT infrastructure, networks, storage, infrastructure security or wider technology delivery. Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track detail and keep activity moving. Confidence engaging with stakeholders, clients, suppliers and delivery teams, with clear written and verbal communication skills. Commercial awareness, including an understanding of budgets, cost control, supplier performance and contractual requirements.
If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we’re looking for, please do apply, we’d love to hear from you!
