SF Partners are recruiting for a qualified Management Accountant to join a growing finance team in a broad role combining management reporting, FP&A, business partnering and process improvement.
This would suit an ACA, ACCA or CIMA-qualified accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers, understanding business performance and helping improve the quality and efficiency of financial reporting.
The role will include:
- Preparing and coordinating monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
- Producing variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast and prior year
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Analysing revenue, costs, margins, headcount and key performance drivers
- Identifying financial risks, opportunities and underlying causes of variances
- Working with budget holders and operational stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy
- Producing management information, financial models and ad hoc analysis
- Coordinating reporting activity across the FP&A team, without direct line management responsibility
- Supporting improvements to month-end close, reporting processes and financial controls
- Helping drive greater automation and standardisation across finance
What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Experience within Management Accounting, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or a similar role
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
- Confident producing meaningful variance analysis and commentary
- Experience working across multiple finance teams and stakeholders
- Exposure to improving reporting, month-end or wider finance processes
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP and/or FP&A systems
- Organised, analytical and confident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders
This is a varied role offering plenty of exposure across reporting, planning, analysis and business partnering, alongside the opportunity to help improve how finance operates.
