Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential
Location: Birmingham - Yardley Wood, Kings Heath, Moseley & Oldbury Salary: £26,880 up to £34 000 + £70 per sleep-in Hours: 160 hours per month | Full-Time, Permanent
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a growing provider of children's residential care across Birmingham.
You will support children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, helping to provide a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
The Role
Support children and young people with their daily needs Build positive and trusting relationships Support emotional wellbeing, independence and life skills Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards Complete daily records and reports Support with activities, education and appointments Work closely with colleagues and external professionals
What We Need
NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care, Residential Childcare, Children & Young People or equivalent Minimum 1 year's children's residential experience Good understanding of safeguarding Full UK Driving Licence - essential Able to work weekends, sleep-ins and flexible shifts Willing to support homes across Birmingham when required
What's On Offer
£26,880 basic salary £70 per sleep-in Overtime and additional shifts available Training and development Career progression Supportive management team
Typical shifts are 8am-11pm followed by a sleep-in until 8am , with approximately 11 shifts per month , depending on the rota.
