We are recruiting a Software Account Manager for a rapidly growing technology business. This is a newly created position offering an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining customer interaction with technical problem-solving.
Working closely with the sales team, software developers, project managers and customers, you will play a pivotal role in understanding customer requirements, conducting site surveys, designing software solutions and supporting projects from initial concept through to successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct customer site visits, surveys and technical discovery meetings. Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate software solutions. Support the sales team throughout the pre-sales process. Produce technical proposals, solution designs and customer presentations. Deliver software demonstrations and participate in customer workshops. Work alongside software developers, engineers and project managers to ensure successful project delivery. Assist with software integration discussions and solution architecture. Coordinate project documentation, planning and customer communications. Build long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted technical adviser. Identify opportunities to introduce additional software products and services within existing accounts. Maintain accurate CRM records, site survey documentation and project updates.
Skills & Experience
Experience within a Pre-Sales, Technical Sales, Solutions Consultant, Applications Engineer, Software Support or Technical Account Management role would be advantageous. Alternatively, candidates with a technical or engineering background looking to move into a customer-facing software role are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Commercial awareness with a consultative approach to sales. Comfortable travelling to customer sites throughout the UK. Full UK Driving Licence.
