Manufacturing Futures are supporting an automation-focused engineering business in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer. This role is well suited to an Electrical or Electronic Engineering graduate, or an early-career Electrical Design Engineer, looking to develop a long-term career within industrial automation and control systems.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will join a supportive and technically strong team with an excellent reputation for training and development. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will work on a range of standard and bespoke automated systems, gaining exposure to electrical design, control systems and project delivery under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Electrical Design Engineer – Role & Responsibilities – Automation / Electrical / Controls
Design electrical and electronic control systems for automated machinery Produce electrical schematics and system drawings using CAD software Support PLC, HMI and automation programming activities Create BOMs and supporting technical documentation Work on assigned projects with guidance from a senior engineer or mentor Assist with technical queries and problem-solving within the engineering team Investigate and evaluate new automation technologies
Electrical Design Engineer – Skills & Experience – Automation / Electrical / Controls
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Experience or exposure to PLC’s and control systems Proficient with electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar Previous experience in an Electrical Design Engineer or automation-related role Strong desire to learn and develop within electrical and automation engineering UK Driving Licence
