Location: Battersea, SW11 Start Date: September Contract: Full-time | Maternity Cover until February 2027 Salary: M2 - M4 (dependent on experience)
A welcoming and well-established mainstream primary school in Battersea is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover contract from September through to February 2027.

The Role Will Involve:
Full classroom responsibility for a Year 2 class
Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress
Attending staff meetings, parents' evenings, and school events
Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Be on the M2-M4 pay scale or have experience equivalent to this level
Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Be organised, enthusiastic, and committed to raising attainment
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
