Our client Our client is a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business based in the North East. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service, they deliver complex projects for customers across a range of industrial sectors and continue to invest in their people, processes and future growth. The opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to take ownership of complex engineering projects from award through to completion.
Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and quality, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing multiple engineering and manufacturing projects throughout the full project lifecycle Acting as the primary customer contact and building strong stakeholder relationships Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules and budgets Managing project risks, opportunities and mitigation plans Coordinating internal teams and external suppliers to achieve project milestones Monitoring project costs, invoicing and commercial performance Identifying opportunities for margin improvement and managing contract variations Preparing and presenting project updates to customers and senior management Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned activities and business process enhancements Ensuring all project documentation and deliverables are completed in line with customer requirements and agreed timescales
About you To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Proven Project Management experience within offshore, subsea, oil & gas or another highly regulated engineering environment Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement and supply chain functions Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks and project deliverables Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities A structured and proactive approach with strong organisational skills HNC/HND or Degree-qualified in an engineering or technical discipline A recognised Project Management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2 The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple project priorities
