Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well - established and growing building services company, covering the London area.
This is a hands-on position carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical building services and M&E systems. You'll be responsible for fault finding, servicing and maintaining mechanical plant while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Servicing and maintaining mechanical plant and building services equipment Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues Servicing pumps and pressurisation units Carrying out routine service inspections in accordance with PPM schedules Responding to breakdowns and call-outs Identifying faults and completing necessary remedial works Producing reports and relevant certification Completing and maintaining site logbooks Ensuring work complies with Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments Liaising with customers and tenants while on site Supporting small works and projects where required Minimising repeat visits through effective fault diagnosis and repair
What We're Looking For
You should have previous experience working within mechanical building services, facilities management or an M&E maintenance environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications Experience maintaining mechanical M&E systems Strong mechanical fault-finding skills Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance Experience servicing pumps and pressurisation units Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Good communication and customer service skills Flexibility to undertake occasional out-of-hours and weekend work
