MERITUS are recruiting for an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join a large Technology Consultancy, supporting secure hybrid infrastructure and Microsoft Azure environments across UK Government customers.
INFRASTRUCTURE & CLOUD ENGINEER - Up to £65,000 - REMOTE (UK) - ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE REQUIRED
We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer with a strong Microsoft background to support and improve enterprise infrastructure across on-premise and Azure environments. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, automation tools and Microsoft 365 services while supporting business-critical systems within a secure environment.
Responsibilities:
Support and maintain hybrid infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments. Resolve infrastructure incidents and deliver technical changes in line with change control processes. Administer Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services. Develop automation using PowerShell, Terraform and Bicep. Monitor platform performance and support backup, resilience and disaster recovery solutions. Collaborate with project, service desk and operations teams to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Active SC Clearance. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Windows Server infrastructure. Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365. PowerShell scripting and automation experience. Knowledge of Terraform and/or Bicep. VMware and/or Hyper-V administration experience. Strong understanding of Azure security and hybrid infrastructure.
Desirable:
Azure DevOps and CI/CD. Azure Monitor, Defender for Cloud or Azure Sentinel. Veeam, Azure Backup or similar backup technologies. Experience within Defence, Government or other highly regulated environments.
