Your new company
A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project. With a strong pipeline of work across the water and civil engineering sectors, they require a capable engineer who can operate independently and ensure high standards of quality and delivery on site.
Your new role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the setting out and delivery of reinforced concrete works, with a particular focus on the construction of an RC retaining wall. You will work closely with the concrete subcontractor to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key duties will include:
Setting out and surveying works using your own equipment where possible. Managing and coordinating the concrete subcontractor on site. Checking reinforcement, formwork, and concrete pours prior to and during construction. Carrying out quality inspections and maintaining accurate site records. Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Producing as-built surveys and maintaining setting out documentation. Supporting site management with daily engineering and technical requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or water infrastructure projects. Strong setting out background with experience of RC structures and retaining walls. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Own surveying equipment is highly desirable. Proficient in the use of Leica, Trimble, or similar survey instruments. Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures and inspection requirements. CSCS card as a minimum. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
What you'll get in return
Competitive day rate. Long-term contract opportunity. Immediate start available. Opportunity to work on a technically challenging civil engineering project. Supportive project team and potential for further work upon successful completion.
