PROPERTY MANAGER
Scanlans Property Management • Competitive • Home Based
ROLE OVERVIEW
You will take ownership of a varied residential block management portfolio across Leeds and the wider West Yorkshire area, working from home and out on site. With the backing of Scanlans and the Trinity Property Group, you will have the tools, processes and team support to deliver an exceptional service to clients, leaseholders and residents.
You will build trusted relationships, keep your sites safe and compliant, and make smart, proactive decisions that protect service charge funds and enhance the places people live. This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, accountability and the satisfaction of seeing well-run buildings and happy communities.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Most days you will be coordinating maintenance and compliance, managing budgets and service charges, and communicating clearly with clients, freeholders, leaseholders and contractors. You will balance home-based planning and reporting with regular site visits across Leeds to spot issues early, progress actions and keep projects moving.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Your portfolio is safe, compliant and well-maintained, with planned works delivered on time and on budget. Clients and residents feel informed, listened to and confident in your decisions. Service charge budgets and year-end accounts are accurate, transparent and well-controlled. Contractors are well-briefed, cost-effective and deliver quality outcomes. Issues are anticipated and resolved early, with clear action plans and updates. Meetings, AGMs and reports are prepared thoroughly and completed to deadline.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
Visiting sites across Leeds and West Yorkshire to complete inspections and follow up actions. Managing day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance and health and safety compliance. Preparing and monitoring service charge budgets, approvals and variance tracking. Leading client and resident communications, handling queries and complaints constructively. Instructing, briefing and reviewing contractors and professional advisors. Preparing reports, meeting packs and minutes, and progressing agreed actions.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
You take ownership, communicate clearly and enjoy solving problems for customers. You balance empathy with firmness, making well-reasoned, defensible decisions. You are highly organised, comfortable with deadlines and able to prioritise a busy workload. You build productive relationships with clients, residents, colleagues and suppliers. You’re happy working from home, on the road and on site across the Leeds area.
