EUC Infrastructure Engineer Derby (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite, 2-3 days remote) | Contract Up to £600 per day (umbrella engagement)
We're working with a leading organisation seeking an experienced EUC Infrastructure Engineer to support a specialist software development environment within a highly technical engineering function.
This is a hands-on role supporting a community of Software Developers, Technical Leads, Architects, Engineering Managers and Test Engineers. You'll be responsible for ensuring development environments, infrastructure, end-user technology and supporting services remain secure, stable and effective.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a complex and technically challenging environment, supporting critical engineering and software development teams whilst maintaining the technology and infrastructure they rely upon.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for developer workstations and specialist engineering environments Support software development teams with day-to-day technical issues Administer and support Windows-based desktop and server infrastructure Manage Active Directory environments Support Azure and on-premise infrastructure services Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts Support software deployment, packaging and patch management activities Troubleshoot endpoint security, application control and software access issues Support bespoke and internally developed applications Work closely with engineering and development teams to deliver a reliable user experience
Required Experience (not all essential)
Strong background in EUC/Desktop Engineering Experience supporting software development or technical engineering teams Windows 11 and Windows Server administration Active Directory administration PowerShell scripting and automation Experience supporting developer toolsets including e.g.. Azure DevOps, GitHub, Visual Studio, Python, Git, Docker Experience supporting developer tooling and software engineering environments SCCM and software deployment/packaging experience Experience supporting bespoke applications Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Understanding of Cyber Essentials and cyber-secure environments Experience supporting endpoint security technologies Knowledge of troubleshooting Anti-Virus, Application Control and endpoint protection issues
