A well-established accountancy practice in Weston-super-Mare is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accountancy practice experience, who enjoys broad responsibilities and regular client contact.
In this Accountant position, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
- Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments
- Assisting with management accounts and other accounting tasks as required
- Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
The successful Accountant candidate will:
Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and be confident preparing accounts and supporting clients with their ongoing accounting and taxation requirements.
AAT qualifications would be advantageous, although candidates who are qualified by experience or studying towards ACA or ACCA will also be considered. You'll be organised, accurate and confident managing your own workload, with excellent communication skills and a positive approach to client service.
