Business & Data Analyst - Graduate Opportunity Location: Glasgow Job Type: Full Time, 12-Month Fixed Term Salary : £25,000 Hybrid Are you a recent graduate who enjoys working with data, researching information and finding ways to turn it into something useful? Do you have a naturally curious mindset and an interest in how businesses identify opportunities, understand their customers and make better commercial decisions? This could be an excellent opportunity to start your career in a role that combines data analysis, market research, business development and technology. The Opportunity We are looking for a graduate to join a global professional services environment in a development-focused Business & Data Analyst role. You don't need previous experience within the sector. What matters is that you are analytical, curious, organised and keen to learn. You will work alongside experienced commercial and business development professionals, gaining exposure to how data and research are used to identify opportunities, understand markets and support business growth. You will receive structured training, one-to-one buddying and practical coaching, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad range of commercially valuable skills. The Role As a Business & Data Analyst, you will:
Analyse data to identify trends, relationships and potential commercial opportunities Carry out research into organisations, markets and potential clients Use CRM data and other sources to identify patterns and develop insight Work with large datasets using Excel, Power BI and other analytical tools Support the creation and management of target lists and commercial research Prepare research, briefings and insight for senior stakeholders Help maintain and improve the quality of CRM and commercial data Support marketing and business development campaigns Use AI and digital tools to improve research, analysis and productivity Work with colleagues across different teams and levels of seniority Contribute to projects that help identify and develop new business opportunities What We're Looking For This role would suit a recent graduate who is looking to build a career in data, commercial analysis, business development or professional services. You will ideally have:
A degree or relevant academic background Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail An interest in working with data and identifying trends Strong research skills and a naturally curious approach Good written and verbal communication skills Confidence using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel An interest in AI and digital tools The ability to organise your workload and manage competing priorities A proactive attitude and willingness to learn The confidence to work independently while also collaborating with a wider team Full training and support will be provided. Why This Role? This is more than an entry-level data position. You will develop practical experience across data analysis, CRM management, market research, commercial insight, campaign support and stakeholder engagement. These are transferable skills that can open doors across the wider professional services and commercial sectors.
