Category Enterprise Information Architecture Closing Date 3 September 2026 We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the technology architecture across Asda's customer-facing digital estate, including Grocery Home Shopping, George.com, Customer platforms.
This role is responsible for defining the technology strategy, target architectures and transformation roadmap that underpin Asda's digital commerce ambitions. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in shaping the future of online retail at Asda, including the strategic migration of Grocery Home Shopping capabilities to the Ocado platform ecosystem.
What You'll Love
Define and own the technology strategy and architecture roadmap for eCommerce and Customer platforms.
Provide architectural leadership for Asda's Grocery Home Shopping transformation and migration to the Ocado platform.
Develop target-state, transition and integration architectures that support business growth and digital transformation.
Govern technology decisions, architecture standards and solution designs across the domain.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape investment priorities and strategic initiatives.
Promote modern architectural approaches including API-led, event-driven and cloud-native patterns.
Drive simplification of the technology estate, reducing technical debt and improving platform re-use.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on digital commerce and customer technology strategy.
What You'll Need
You'll be a strategic technology leader with deep experience delivering architecture across large-scale digital, retail or eCommerce environments.
You'll bring:
Significant Enterprise Architecture experience within digital, customer or eCommerce domains.
Strong knowledge of online retail, customer experience and digital commerce platforms.
Experience leading complex transformation programmes and large technology roadmaps.
Expertise in architecture governance, operating models, technology strategy and roadmap development.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
Experience designing highly resilient, scalable and integrated platforms.
