What's the role? ETA are a Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) engineering design consultancy currently undertaking projects involving a vast array of engineering services in complex buildings. Many of the projects are designed to achieve BREEAM targets and compliance with The London Plan. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the development and implementation of compliant strategies within our projects. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while shaping the next generation of engineering talent. The senior engineer will be responsible for preparing, presenting evidence and supporting information and calculations for renewable and low energy solutions. The successful candidate must demonstrate evidence of performing in a client-facing role collaborating with client representatives and other design team members and also working collaboratively with a team which would comprise mechanical, electrical, public health and sustainability (thermal modelling) on a project-by-project basis. Working Conditions
- Hybrid working (typical 3 days office , 2 days at home ) 37.5 contractual hours per week Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Production of electrical system designs and specifications, including producing design calculations and review of electrical system designs and specifications Acting as a project leader on projects Technical review, auditing, and commenting on electrical system designs and specifications undertaken by others (internal team members and external contractors) Production of technical reports Undertake site surveys Coordination with external design teams; architectural, structural, PQS, CDM, and others and internal team; CAD, Revit, electrical, public health, sustainability disciplines. Inputting into practice improvements in work methods and delivery Collaborating with Associate Directors and Directors in identifying and implementing new work practices and innovation. Ability to lead on multiple projects consecutively Attending meetings and delivering client presentations. Raising/promoting the level of technical excellence within the team. Monitoring project costs and time Maintaining project deliverables
