Lynx Recruitment are looking for a talented engineer to join a growing technology consultancy delivering cloud-native solutions for enterprise organisations. This role combines hands-on software engineering with technical consulting, giving you the opportunity to influence architecture, guide clients, and deliver high-quality solutions using modern Microsoft technologies.
You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable cloud applications while collaborating with architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver innovative digital solutions.
The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead the design and development of modern cloud-native applications, working closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
You'll contribute to solution design, mentor other engineers, promote engineering best practices, and help shape scalable, resilient platforms built on Microsoft Azure.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop and deliver modern cloud-native applications. Build scalable, secure and resilient event-driven solutions. Develop production-quality software using .NET and modern web technologies. Contribute to technical architecture and solution design. Review code and mentor junior engineers. Build and maintain APIs and integration services. Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system reliability through monitoring, testing and automation. Work closely with clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
What We're Looking For
5+ years' commercial software engineering experience. Strong experience developing applications using C#/.NET . Experience with React , JavaScript and TypeScript. Strong understanding of cloud-native application development on Microsoft Azure . Experience with Azure services such as: App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Key Vault Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns and event-driven architecture. Experience building distributed, scalable systems. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD and automated testing. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. IT/Technology-related university degree (minimum 2.1)
