Are you a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher looking for your next opportunity in a thriving secondary school?
We are working with a high-performing secondary school in Maidenhead that is seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join its successful department from September 2026. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching career, this is an excellent opportunity to develop professionally within a supportive and ambitious school.
The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that encourage students of all abilities to develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages. Inspire students to achieve their full potential through a varied and inclusive curriculum. Create a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes participation and achievement. Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing effective feedback to support learning. Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and academic progress. Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures and wider school life where appropriate. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continually improve teaching and learning.
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in Physical Education or a related subject. A genuine passion for Physical Education and inspiring young people. Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student achievement. The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. A commitment to continuous professional development and improving outcomes for students. The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative school team.
