Full Time | Permanent Location: Barrow-in-Furness Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 per annum
Are you an experienced electrical engineering professional looking for a rewarding new career?
We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join our engineering team in Barrow. Whether you're already teaching or currently working in industry, we'd love to hear from you. If you're new to education, we'll provide fully funded teacher training , giving you all the support you need to become a successful lecturer.
About the Role
As an Electrical Engineering Lecturer, you'll deliver high-quality teaching to learners studying Level 1 to Level 3 Electrical Engineering programmes , with a strong focus on theory-based units alongside some practical workshop sessions.
You'll inspire and support students to develop the technical knowledge, understanding and skills required for successful careers within the engineering sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging theory lessons across a range of electrical engineering subjects. Supporting practical workshop activities where appropriate. Teaching and supporting Level 1 to Level 3 learners. Planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences that meet awarding body requirements. Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement. Creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment. Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an HNC in Electrical Engineering. Relevant industrial experience within the electrical engineering sector. A passion for developing others and sharing your technical knowledge.
Desirable (but not essential):
A recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching or training learners. Knowledge of vocational engineering qualifications.
No teaching experience? No problem. We actively encourage applications from experienced industry professionals and will provide fully funded teacher training to help you make a successful transition into further education.
