Your Company: NET Recruit is proud to be partnering with a highly established defence business operating nationally, with offices in Hampshire, in their search for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong civil engineering professional to work across a diverse range of infrastructure and construction projects, contributing to projects from initial concept and design through to construction and completion. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions, the business works closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, efficient, and compliant infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting project delivery, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring consistently high standards across all stages of the project lifecycle. Your Role and Responsibilities While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to:
Delivering civil engineering design and technical support across a range of infrastructure and construction projects. Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to construction and completion. Producing civil engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Working closely with senior engineers, contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively. Supporting project planning and contributing to the development of practical and efficient engineering solutions. Conducting site surveys, inspections, and assessments to gather relevant technical information. Analysing survey information, technical data, and project requirements to inform design decisions. Providing technical support during construction and assisting with the resolution of design and site-related issues. Supporting site supervision activities and monitoring works to ensure designs, specifications, quality, and project requirements are being met. Liaising with contractors and other project stakeholders to coordinate civil engineering activities. Ensuring designs and technical outputs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and project requirements. Identifying potential technical issues and developing appropriate solutions to maintain project progress. Contributing to project reporting, technical reviews, and design development as required. Working to agreed project programmes, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety. Supporting the successful delivery of high-quality civil engineering solutions across a variety of technically challenging projects.
