About the opportunity
Via is partnering with a growing AI and fintech business to recruit a PR & Communications Executive for its Edinburgh team.
This is a broad, hands-on communications role focused on building the company's profile across the UK financial services and technology markets.
You'll work closely with the Head of PR & Communications, developing relationships with journalists, pitching stories and commentary, supporting PR campaigns and finding opportunities to put the business and its senior leaders into relevant industry conversations.
The role goes beyond traditional PR. You'll also gain exposure to thought leadership, content, customer stories, executive communications, events, awards and wider marketing campaigns .
You don't need to be an AI or fintech expert from day one. Strong B2B PR or communications experience , excellent writing skills and confidence working directly with journalists are the most important foundations.
What you'll be doing
Build and maintain relationships with journalists across business, technology, fintech and financial services media Proactively pitch stories, commentary, interviews and contributed articles Identify relevant news and media opportunities for the business Support PR campaigns around product launches, research, company news and customer successes Help manage the day-to-day press office Respond to journalist enquiries and coordinate interviews Prepare briefing documents and talking points for senior spokespeople Write and edit press releases, pitches, commentary and other external communications Maintain PR, communications and editorial calendars Develop customer stories, case studies and testimonials Work with Sales and Customer Success to identify strong customer stories Support senior leaders with LinkedIn content and executive communications Contribute to webinars, research reports, whitepapers and thought-leadership content Identify relevant conferences, panels, podcasts and webinar opportunities Coordinate industry award entries and speaking opportunities Support relationships with industry analysts and research organisations Help deliver conferences, roundtables, webinars and customer events Support internal communications around company news, customer wins and product developments Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product and Customer Success teams
