The Senior IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s technology infrastructure and developing strategies to align IT with business goals. This role involves managing the wider team, ensuring system performance, security, and compliance is at the highest level possible. The Senior IT Manager fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while collaborating to implement effective technology solutions and support organisational growth
Duties will include:
Manage IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and support services, ensuring reliability and scalability. Lead and mentor the team, promoting professional growth, collaboration, and a high-performance culture. Oversee project management for IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance security, compliance, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and deliver effective, scalable solutions. Monitor and analyse IT performance metrics, using insights to recommend and implement improvements. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to maintain a competitive edge and inform strategic decisions
Person Requirements:
3+ years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role, showcasing a strong track record in technology oversight. Excellent communication and organisation skills In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, network architecture, and cybersecurity best practices to ensure secure and efficient systems. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation within the IT department. Experience with Cloud systems Strong project management skills with experience in Agile, Scrum, or other similar methodologies for delivering IT initiatives. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify challenges and implement effective technology solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and present IT strategies to stakeholders. Able to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously Service minded, organised and able to work independently, with little supervision Ability to travel within a 10 mile radius
