Project Manager £40,000 - £64,000 depending on role and experience Hybrid working, typically 2-3 days per week on site We are recruiting Project Managers for a variety of opportunities within a large and complex defence engineering environment. The work spans both core programme delivery and new business Project Management. This creates opportunities for Project Managers with strengths across delivery, engineering programmes, bids, business winning, customer engagement or a combination of these areas. Essential eligibility
British Citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship Able to obtain and maintain UK Security Check (SC) clearance Previous Project or Programme Management experience Strong communication and stakeholder management capability Experience working within complex projects, programmes or organisations
Relevant experience across the opportunities includes:
Managing projects across cost, schedule and risk Budget and cost control Earned Value Management (EVM) Schedule management and schedule risk Leading multidisciplinary or multi-functional teams Engineering or product development environments Bid, proposal or tender management Bidding and estimating Business case development Contract acquisition or mobilisation Customer-facing Project Management Working across large internal and external stakeholder groups Defence, aerospace, MOD or similarly complex regulated environments
Not every candidate will need all of the above. For some of the positions, strong bidding, proposal or business-winning experience is particularly important. Others are centred on core delivery Project Management with responsibility across engineering activity, budgets, schedules, risk and stakeholder relationships. Defence or aerospace experience is attractive for several of the opportunities but there is also scope to consider people from other sectors where the underlying Project Management experience, scale and complexity are strong.
