At Malloy Aeronautics, we're on a mission to revolutionise uncrewed flight. We develop advanced heavy-lift UAVs for both defence and commercial applications.
What sets us apart is our in-house approach. From design and engineering to manufacturing and testing, the majority of our work happens under one roof in Berkshire, allowing us to innovate quickly, maintain exceptional quality, and bring ideas to life faster.
For our teams, that means hands-on involvement, real ownership, and the opportunity to help shape the future of uncrewed aviation.
Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Digital & Cyber Manager to take ownership of our technology and security landscape, helping shape strategy while remaining close to delivery.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, influencing stakeholders, challenging suppliers, and driving outcomes. You'll be the trusted technology partner to the business, providing expertise across cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, governance, and service delivery.
You'll have the autonomy to make an impact, working across both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational challenges.
Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK
What you’ll be doing (but not limited to):
Shape and deliver digital, cloud, infrastructure, and cyber security strategy. Act as the organisation's trusted advisor on technology and cyber risk. Oversee and challenge third-party IT and security providers to ensure secure, high-quality service delivery. Lead cyber governance, risk management, compliance, and assurance activities. Drive improvements across Azure, networking, infrastructure, and security operations. Manage major incidents, service issues, and technology risks through to resolution. Develop technology roadmaps, modernisation plans, and investment recommendations. Embed secure-by-design principles across projects and operational environments. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate complex issues in a simple, business-focused way.
Essential Skills and Experiences:
Strong experience across IT, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Cyber Security. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure, identity, governance, security, and cloud architecture. Experience working with outsourced service providers and technology partners. Understanding of cyber security frameworks such as NIST and ISO27001. Knowledge of networking, infrastructure, security operations, and vulnerability management. The confidence to challenge, influence, and drive decisions at all levels. A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to switch between strategy and delivery.
