An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join the brigade at our established 2AA Rosette hotel in Ipswich.
We are seeking a strong kitchen leader with a genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food and high standards of service. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help drive the kitchen forward while maintaining the quality and consistency expected within a Rosette-standard operation.
This role would suit an experienced Sous Chef or an ambitious Junior Sous Chef ready to take the next step in their career.
The Role
Supporting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen Leading service and managing the brigade in the Head Chef’s absence Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards Assisting with seasonal menu development and creative specials Training and developing junior members of the team Managing stock control, ordering, and minimising wastage Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards Working across restaurant, events, and hotel food operations
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience within a Rosette, hotel, or premium fresh food kitchen Strong leadership and communication skills Passion for modern British cuisine and fresh ingredients Calm and organised under pressure Excellent attention to detail and consistency A positive attitude with a hands-on approach Genuine ambition to progress within a quality-driven business
