We're looking for DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineers to join an exciting new programme supporting highly secure, mission-critical systems. If you're passionate about infrastructure, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and want to play a key role in keeping essential services running, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
You'll join a close-knit team operating at the heart of a secure environment, helping to maintain, support, and continuously improve critical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you'll investigate technical issues, drive operational excellence, and contribute to services that make a real impact.
Working onsite in Portsmouth, you'll be surrounded by talented colleagues who genuinely collaborate, share knowledge, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
As part of a 24/7 support team, you'll help ensure the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications and infrastructure while contributing to service improvements, project work, testing activities, and operational development.
Training & Location
For your first six months, you'll complete a structured training programme based in Hemel Hempstead, attending the office 1-2 days per week and working remotely for the remainder. Once training is complete, you'll transition permanently to our Portsmouth site, where the role is fully onsite.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting and managing core infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and operating systems. Managing incidents, problems, requests, and changes within an ITIL-aligned environment. Investigating and resolving technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving service improvements. Monitoring live services to ensure performance, availability, and resilience. Supporting project delivery, testing, implementation, and release activities. Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures. Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, services, and processes.
What you’ll bring:
Experience in infrastructure support, systems administration, or technical operations. Strong Wintel experience. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices. Experience working within structured operational environments. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team. Current DV Clearance.
