Main Purpose
Experienced Technical Product Manager with deep technical knowledge and responsibility for products from conception to completion
Translate complex technical features into clear customer and business benefits. Act as the technical product champion across the organisation, supporting sales, marketing, engineering, support and customers.
Provide technical expertise across satellite communications products and services, including Starlink, OneWeb, Cobham, Iridium, Inmarsat and other manufacturers/operators.
Key Responsibilities
Translate technical information into customer-facing materials, including brochures, white papers, application notes, user guides, FAQs and technical updates. Support go-to-market strategy, product positioning and identification of target customers. Support launches of new products and services, including sales presentations, training materials and internal processes. Work with engineering, marketing, logistics, procurement and support teams to introduce and develop products. Evaluate new products and technologies and assess their integration with existing products and infrastructure. Provide technical support during customer meetings, demonstrations and industry events. Capture requirements for software development and manage internal projects. Deliver technical product training to sales, support and other internal teams. Produce competitor analysis and product comparisons. Manage relationships with hardware manufacturers and assess new product capabilities. Support the distribution of technical service bulletins across different regions.
Working Relationships
Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Logistics, Procurement and Executive Management. Work directly with customers, suppliers and international offices. No direct line-management responsibility.
Essential:
Technical Product Management experience. Strong IP networking knowledge. Mobile Satcoms, communications or technology experience. Experience managing hardware suppliers and assessing technology products. Requirements gathering and project management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Customer-focused, organised, adaptable and self-motivated. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities. Good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Willingness to travel occasionally.
