KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors. Job Title: Chef / Hospitality Assessor (Trainee or Qualified) Full training and support will be given to candidates to achieve the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. Location: Home/Field based - Must be flexible with travel across Birmingham and surrounding areas Salary: £31,600 - £34,300 - salary dependent on qualifications Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Mileage + much more! Type: Full-time, Permanent A great opportunity to transition to a new and rewarding career within the training industry! Full training and support will be given to Trainee candidates to achieve the Level 3 Teaching qualification. Essential Criteria:
Hold a Level 2 Hospitality / Pro Cookery qualification, or above. Must have worked at Commis Chef level, with experience of fresh food preparation. Experience of managing BOH staff, ideally up to Head Chef/Kitchen Manager level. Must have experience of working Front of House, with demonstrable progression from Team Member, through to Supervisor, through to General Manager. Must be IT literate. Must be confident to support learners Maths and English Functional Skills. Full driving licence and use of own vehicle. Must be flexible with travel.
Duties include:
Delivering full Apprenticeship Standards in Hospitality (Front and Back of House specialisms). Delivering via a blended learning approach (Remote/face-to-face delivery). Delivering Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2. Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted. Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress. Support, advise and motivate learners. Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs. Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
