The Role – Fire & Security Engineer
You will join a growing team and cover the London area, servicing, maintaining and repairing fire and security systems for a trusted brand that prioritises engineers.
This is a field-based, hands-on position, focused on servicing and upkeep rather than full project installation.
Key responsibilities include:
Servicing and maintaining a wide range of fire alarms, intruder systems, CCTV and access control equipment. Diagnosing and repairing faults across fire alarms, CCTV, intruder and access control systems. Carrying out routine inspections, preventative maintenance and compliance checks. Providing professional, customer-focused service during every visit, reflecting the company’s customer-first ethos. Ensuring all work is completed to current safety, compliance and accreditation standards.
What You’ll Need
Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in the fire & security industry Technical knowledge and hands-on experience across both fire alarm systems and security systems (intruder alarms, CCTV, access control). Multi-skilled ability with a preference to specialise in one but competent in both. SVQ Level 3 in Fire & Security (or equivalent qualification) is desirable. A proactive problem-solver, excellent communicator and confident working independently. Full, clean UK driving licence and flexibility to travel around the London region (and potentially further as the area business grows). Installation experience is welcome, but the primary focus is service and maintenance.
