R&D Financial Analyst
Location : Belfast Salary : £40,000 per annum, DOE + Excellent Benefits! Contract : Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity
Dunwall Partners are working with a growing professional services business to recruit an R&D Financial Analyst to join their expanding Innovation Tax team.
This is a great opportunity for a finance professional to move into a specialist and growing area of tax, working with a wide range of innovative businesses.
You'll work alongside experienced R&D Tax Managers, using your financial and analytical skills to prepare the financial side of R&D Tax claims.
R&D Tax experience isn't essential. Strong finance and Excel skills are.
The Role
Analyse payroll, ledger, invoice and project cost data. Prepare financial schedules for R&D Tax claims. Reconcile figures against client accounting records. Identify qualifying R&D expenditure. Spot gaps, inconsistencies and unusual figures. Prepare supporting evidence and working papers. Work closely with R&D Tax Managers and client finance teams. Manage multiple client projects and deadlines. Develop your knowledge of R&D Tax and HMRC requirements.
About You
We're looking for someone who is financially strong, analytical and detail-focused.
You'll ideally have:
Experience in finance, accounting, audit, tax or financial analysis. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and reconciliations. Confidence working with financial data. Excellent attention to detail. Strong organisation and time management skills. Good communication skills. A proactive, inquisitive approach. The ability to spot problems and find solutions.
Previous R&D Tax experience is beneficial but not essential.
