The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high-growth renewable energy business backed by a major international investment group .
The business is part of a wider portfolio focused on the transition to a lower-carbon economy, with significant investment being made across renewable energy infrastructure, the electrification of homes and businesses, and electric transport .
With ambitious growth plans and access to substantial institutional capital, the business is developing and investing in renewable energy projects and is expected to become an increasingly important part of the wider group's investment portfolio.
As part of this growth, the business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team.
This is a broad and commercially focused finance position offering exposure to FP&A, investment analysis, capital planning, financing, M&A and senior stakeholder engagement .
It would particularly suit an ambitious qualified accountant looking to move into, or further develop their career within, renewable energy, infrastructure or private capital .
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will take ownership of key elements of financial planning, forecasting and reporting while supporting a range of strategic investment and financing activities.
The role sits close to senior decision-making and will involve working with stakeholders across the business, the wider shareholder group, and debt and equity partners.
Responsibilities include:
Lead key elements of the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning process. Provide clear financial analysis and insight to senior management and investors. Build and develop financial models supporting capital allocation, equity funding, investment returns and long-term value creation. Support debt and equity financing initiatives, including potential joint ventures and other funding structures. Provide financial support for M&A and strategic transactions, including integration activity where appropriate. Produce detailed variance, trend, scenario and sensitivity analysis to support investment and commercial decisions. Partner with senior stakeholders to translate complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations. Identify opportunities to improve reporting and planning through automation, technology and AI.
