Senior Architect
Location: East Midlands Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
The Opportunity
We are currently supporting a growing specialist architectural and property consultancy with the appointment of a Senior Architect to join their expanding team.
The business operates nationally across bespoke residential projects, working on a wide range of schemes including new-build homes, residential adaptations and complex refurbishment projects. Their work is highly individual, with each project requiring a considered, client-focused approach.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Architect who is looking to take ownership of projects, develop their leadership responsibilities and play an active role in the continued growth of a successful business.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering your own projects from concept through to completion, while working closely with clients, consultants and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing projects from inception through to completion. Overseeing project quality and ensuring appropriate procedures are maintained. Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team. Working closely with clients, consultants, solicitors, Planning and Building Control. Producing high-quality residential designs and technical information. Providing practical and creative solutions to complex project requirements. Contributing to the continued growth and development of the architectural team. Maintaining strong communication with all project stakeholders. Travelling nationally when required to attend meetings and site visits.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Proven experience working at Senior Architect or similar level. Previous leadership or team management experience. Strong residential design experience with excellent attention to detail. A thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and accessible design. Strong technical design and detailing knowledge. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. The ability to confidently liaise with Planning and Building Control authorities. Strong AutoCAD skills. Experience with NBS specifications. A practical, problem-solving approach. A genuine desire to contribute to the growth of a business and develop as a leader.
